In 1 Timothy 1:11, Jehovah is described as a "happy God", and later in chapter 6, verse 15, describes him as "the happy and only Potentate". We love that quality of God, and I guess it shows!
This morning, we were having breakfast at Guajimbos prior to starting our field service. I was feeling a little self-conscious, because as usual we were a little rowdy in our laughing and conversation. The American woman at the next table glanced over a few times as she read her newspaper.
Then she leans over and says, "You people must be the happiest North Americans in Pana. You always have the biggest smiles. Thanks for cheering up this place!"
We then sat a bit over coffee with a woman who was a retired special-education teacher from the South Bronx. She also said that we were always so happy and positive and friendly. She always enjoys talking to us.
It was a pleasure to know we have a good reputation and we are appreciated! We happily reflect our Happy God!
