Grosses In Guatemala: Our "favorite things"

We were invited to a small farewell dinner at some friends' house, Mitch and Jill Wright, and a few others. It was yummy, and open-air as usual here. We felt so special!

Ahead of time, Jill mysteriously asked us to share a list of things we'll (1) look forward to about living in the US, (2) dreading about living in the US, (3) miss most about Pana and (4) won't miss about living in Pana.

It was fun to compile the list, and maybe I'll share it in a future post. But based on that, she and Natalie Perez worked up - and performed - the following song, to the tune "My Favorite Things" (from Sound of Music). It was such fun!

When its "normal" and there's traffic and the fruit is sad
Just simply remember your favorite things and then you won't feel so bad

Drink from the faucet without any worries
Call 911 and you know they will hurry
Browsing so fast you will feel like a king
