Our hand is on the doorknob....

We left Olathe!  We got boxes moved to some storage, and cleared out office and papers and furniture. We sold our bedroom set so were sleeping on the floor for a few weeks! And - we were able to store a few boxes, such as for photo albums, and we are shipping some things down.

Nancy went to Escuela de Precursores, and we went to a wedding (Nancy's niece Jessica) and had some 'farewell' moments.

It took us some effort to get the apartment cleared out and cleaned, but thanks to wonderful friends -- many, but especially Oscar and Valerie Vera, Francisco y Rafaela y Kimberly Cisneros, and especially Mark and Catherine Richardson and dear Andy Burns --we made it! We flew out midday Wednesday, August 15.

Right now we are in San Antonio for a day of rest.  It feels nice to spend quiet time before our next 'life' begins.  It's like our hand is on the doorknob of an exciting new life, but we are taking a deep breath before opening the door and getting swept up in new and exciting lives.

Tomorrow early morning, we leave. We will make a change of planes in Mexico City, go through customs with our 7 suitcases, then on to Tapachula, Mexico, at the southern end of Mexico. Our friends who live across the border in Guatemala will meet us there, and then starts the next chapter!

AND - before we go on, we want to share a thought with the many who may wish to do something that seems exotic and adventuresome...  there is need EVERYWHERE for people to do their best for Jehovah. We all have a responsibility to build up the brotherhood wherever we are, to show love and kindness to the weak and those in need. We all need to talk to others about the wonderful promises that God's government (kingdom) will bring .. soon! So whether we are doing that in Kansas or Guatemala or elsewhere, we all do ALL we can!  And on our way, we carry you in our hearts and prayers, and trust you will keep us in yours. 

Quisimos compartir algo con los que quedan en Kansas o otro lugares, o los que quieren y no pueden hacer lo que nosotros hacemos en mudarnos. Hay necesidad en TODOS LUGARES, a hacer lo mejor para Jehová. Todos tenemos nuestra responsabilidad a animar los hermanos dondequiera, a mostrar amor y bondad amorosa a los débiles y los que tienen necesidad. Todos nosotros necesitamos hablar con personas acerca del reino (gobierno) de Dios y las promesas que lleva a cabo pronto! Entonces, si lo hacemos en Kansas o Guatemala o dondequiera, hacemos todo posible para Jehová. Les llevamos en nuestros corazones y oraciones, y esperamos que hacen lo mismo.
