And the choice is.... (drumroll)....

Panajachel!

We thought and prayed and analyzed and prayed and analyzed some more then prayed some more.  Our decision was between Panajachel and Momostenango.

Momos really pulled at our heartstrings because of the great need, and the kind and faithful Bro Cante there.  There is such a need for people to help both in preaching and in the congregation.  But, the more we thought about it, the more we considered the 'cost' of such a move, the challenges.  It would have been very difficult for Bill especially, until his Spanish improves.  Of course, it would have improved rapidly there, but along with a lot of stress.  Also, it was more of a city, with rushing noisy traffic and close buildings. We wanted to be aware of health challenges, too, in Momos. We also took into consideration that Jehovah is doing quite well directing the ministry on earth, and that the work in Momos does not depend exclusively on us!  So, looking at 'modesty' in terms of 'being aware of our limitations', we began moving Momostenango down on our list.

At the same time, Panajachel, however, became more and more attractive to us.  We really fell in love with the Perez family (Andy and Natalie) - they are warm and happy people.  We are thrilled to be able to open up the English field in Guatemala, and hope we can be used by Jehovah in helping people learn about the near future of real peace, economic security, perfect government .... all under God's Messianic kingdom.

Shortly after we moved to the Spanish congregation four years ago, we were interviewed, and were asked if we'd ever want to move back to English.  At that time, I said, "Nunca... nunca ... NUNCA..." (Never never never!).   We loved the hispanic people and and ministry and culture (and food!) so very much.  Yet here we are, moving back to English ... but for good reason, and with great joy.  We are still immersed in the culture of the Guatemalan people while serving the community in new and different ways.  So... never say "Nunca", eh?

We will take care of some business here, then go late next week or maybe early the next week to Pana to look for an apartment or house!  Stay tuned!  We'll share any news here!  Thanks for coming to 'visit'!
