Our cold tap water is always tepid. Yesterday it was warmer than usual, so I put a thermometer in it.
Our cold tap water was 89 degrees!
Why? Because we are in a volcanic region, and sitting on lava! Can you imagine? It's a little unnerving to imagine all that hot lava actually warming up our water sources, but the nearby volcanos are pretty stable. There are persistent clouds on the summit due to steam, but no activity.
But when the water turns warmer, it's a reminder that we're not in Kansas anymore!
