Guajimbos luncheon

I've posted a number of pictures of our literature table in front of Guajimbos restaurant, where people can just stop by and pick up something to read.  We have had people from all over the world, as well as local folks. 

Guajimbos ("Guatemala" + "Jim-bo") is a restaurant owned by brothers, Jim and Jessica Flood (she is Guatemalan, he is from New York), and Eduardo and Marcela Acevedo (he is Uruguayan, she is Guatemalan). It's a very popular local restaurant. It is well-reviewed in TripAdvisor and Fodors.  It has great music every evening at 7PM, including music by both the owners and some other local musicians. 

The restaurant's owners and staff have been very kind to us with the literature table, allowing us to store things in their storage unit, use their bathrooms and always being kind and welcoming.  

So - we had a luncheon for them!  Jill Wright suggested it, and we had several pitching in. We hosted it at our house.  We had hors d'oeuvres, wine and licuados and soda/water, salad and spaghetti, and pie and ice cream, with coffee.

We gave them some gifts - toilet paper and hand soap for the restaurant!  Also some personal gifts, scarves and ties, bracelets, candies and other little gifts.
