I started out first, to visit my friend Margie on Long Island (on Shelter Island). Margie is the one that I've mentioned that has suffered with Lyme disease. After three years, she is finally enjoying some improved health, after being on super-strong antibiotics that they use for the plague! So we enjoyed a few days together there.

Then on Tuesday I went to pick up Bill at the Islip airport and we on to New York City! We stayed at a hotel in Soho. We went on Wednesday to Bethel in Brooklyn (world headquarters of Jehovah's witnesses), ate lunch with Danny and Trina Bland...

... and after lunch, we saw a couple of exhibits in the lobby, one about the history of Jehovah's personal name in history, and another about the history of Christianity and Jehovah's Witnesses.

In the evening we went up to the Bland's room and had a glass of wine and snacks. Dan Bell joined us.

We went out to eat Thai food on Montague street and loved every bite!
The next day, Thursday morning, Bill and I wandered around nearby Chinatown and Little Italy. Dan Bell recommended an ice cream spot, so we got one!

In the evening we went up to my niece Jessica's apartment and me her there and her husband Casey and their baby Simon!

The next morning, we took a taxi up to LaGuardia to rent a car to go upstate. But that will be a new post!
