Some folks in the congregation ... local and 'foreigners'

Once a year, the congregation has a meeting of those who have volunteered the majority of their free time in teaching and helping others.  The meeting is designed to encourage and support those who are giving so much of themselves.  About a week ago, we had our meeting, and following are some pictures of both locals and those who moved in from US and Canada to help.  Plus, a sister baked us some pies!  Yum yum!

Morgana and Susan (Vermont)

Alan and Helen Erickson (Canada).  Their son had a terrible
accident shortly before their coming here, and is possibly paralyzed.
They came anyway but are monitoring the situation. They also have
another son who is a missionary in Lima Peru, who knows Todd and
Melinda Murphy, some friends of ours from Kansas. 

A precious older sister Juanita who can hardly see or
hear or walk, but loyally attends meetings
and makes us all smile! 

The Caná family - Gabriel and Merci.  They have three teens
and a niece living at home. 

The Benier's.  She was widowed and married him a few years
ago, with her 3 kids in tow.  He was literally a shepherd
in France, visiting Pana, when they met and fell in love.
He has some photos of where he did his shepherding in
the alps between France and Italy - breathtaking!

Family Yash.  He is a carpenter who has done some work
for us.  His wife always wears traditional guipil (blouse) and corte (skirt).
