More pictures across the lake, and another Spanish/English class

Just posting some more pictures of our trip across the lake to Santa Cruz in the morning, and of our weekly Spanish/English class.

These were growing everywhere.  What are they?

I suspect these used to be on shore - but the lake has
been rising.

The Spanish/English class is taught by volunteers who choose the topics and how to teach.  But we all have fun!  This is Morgana (who teaches English as a Second Language), and Gladys, a wonderful local sister.

After class, we celebrated the Benier's second anniversary.  He came here from France a few years ago, on a vacation (as I understand the story).  He was a shepherd in the French Alps (and has some magnificent photos of his life there).  Met her, a widow with 3 kids, and fell in love.  They're a sweet couple - he speaks French and some Spanish; she speaks Spanish and a few French words. Both are learning English along with their kids! We had a cake and ice cream to celebrate.
