His family studied the Bible with Jehovah's witnesses when he was a boy. The family stopped their studies, but his dad told him that if he ever needed help or was afraid and needed someone to trust, he should go find Jehovah's witnesses.
Flash forward to a few weeks ago... He was in Panajachel in a coffee shop, and he started talking with one of our sisters, Cathy McComas. She invited him to the kingdom hall, and although he had planned to leave on Saturday, he agreed to stay until Sunday and leave after the meeting.
He attended the meeting, and had such a good time that he was among the last to leave! He even commented in the Watchtower study! His eyes were bright and said he really enjoyed the meeting. We told him that anywhere he goes, he will find Jehovah's Witnesses, and that he should look us up and resume his Bible study.
